Synetec
Synetec is a London-based custom software and AI development company, helping businesses build smarter, more efficient products through bespoke software solutions. They work across a range of industries, delivering everything from data transformation and digital transformation to AI-powered tools and UX design.
The sole designer, responsible for the full UX and UI design process across multiple client projects. Because I was the only designer, I led the end-to-end design strategy, collaborating closely with developers, stakeholders, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Discovery & Domain Research, Every project began with immersing myself in the client's world. That meant learning the industry, understanding the business model and getting close to the people who would use the product day to day.
- User Research & Requirements Gathering: I led the research process across all projects, running stakeholder interviews, mapping user journeys and translating findings into clear design requirements. This ensured every decision was rooted in real user needs rather than assumptions.
- Information Architecture & UX Strategy: From there I defined how each product should be structured, mapping out flows, hierarchies and interaction patterns to create a logical, intuitive foundation for the product.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: I produced wireframes and interactive prototypes to validate concepts early, iterating quickly based on feedback from stakeholders and users before moving into high-fidelity design.
- UI Design: I designed the full visual interface for each product, creating polished, professional UIs tailored to the context and the users, whether that was a fast-paced trading environment or an internal operations tool.
- Collaboration with Development & Stakeholders: Throughout delivery I worked closely with developers, product teams and client stakeholders, making sure designs were technically feasible, aligned to business goals and delivered to a high standard.
Major Projects
Triland
Designed an internal metals trading platform for one of the UK's leading commodity brokers. The project required a deep understanding of how traders work and what they need to make fast, high-stakes decisions, translating that into a clean, efficient interface built for speed and precision.
Argentex
Designed both the customer-facing platform and internal systems for this FX brokerage. Working across two distinct user types end clients and internal teams meant balancing very different needs within a single, coherent product ecosystem.
Nest
Designed an internal prospect management system, helping the team manage and track potential clients through a clear, intuitive workflow that replaced what had previously been a fragmented process.
